Born and raised in the South of France, LA based Hugo Paris is a visionary artist known for delivering finely crafted electronic music with a unique focus on expressivity and raw emotion.

Hugo’s music traverses through strong emotional narratives guiding audiences on an uplifting journey ranging from the grounding peacefulness of textural ambient to the infectious energy of dance inducing beats by employing an extensive use of keyboards, live percussions, prepared tape loops, ethereal guitar washes, and modular synthesizers, including the SWN, which he conceived and developed with 4ms Company.

Leveraging his background in Acoustics and Signal Processing, Hugo Paris has worked with world renowned universities such as MIT, Caltech and Stanford, and contributed to 2017 Nobel prize winning project aLIGO (Advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory).

With a solo career arching over 10 years, including multiple tours and acclaim from major press outlets, Hugo Paris’ highly anticipated fourth album, Nouvelles Aurores, is scheduled for release September 15, 2023, via Decoy Recordings. Offering a rare window into Hugo Paris’ unique musical sensitivity, the new opus features key collaborations with esteemed artists AMULETS, Tyler Stone, Nathan Moody and Slow Coast. Nouvelles Aurores, and the preceding three singles, will be Hugo Paris’ first album in four years presenting his most vulnerable and engaging release to date.

Hugo Paris's last release, L'écho des Brumes, is a first glimpse into the body of work he crafted while living in Oregon, with artists Patricia Wolf, Beddis Tides and Dream Cabin joining him on this nostalgic experience via Decoy Recordings. This precursory track from Hugo‘s upcoming album, came with a deeply touching video by visionary film maker Jody Stillwater, which has garnered significant attention and was featured on prominent playlists such as Apple’s own Ambient Sleep, accumulating over half a million streams.

Hugo Paris’ third album, Threaded Habitat, was released in 2019 via Beacon Sound (Terry Riley, Colleen, Benoit Pioulard, Amulets) + Jacktone Records (Fact top 10 labels of 2018), and received a warm reception from the press (XLR8R, Fact Magazine, Resident Advisor). It was followed up with a 2020 remix release featuring renown electronic music artists Nathan Moody and Earthen Sea.

Joining forces with Joachim Garraud (Jean-Michel Jarre, David Bowie, Beyonce), for the four day production spree onboard the LA Good Vibe solar powered tour bus/studio, Hugo Paris appears producing and / performing alongside Trovarsi and Franck Martin on the Modular California Vibes Movie and the MCV EP with production, composition, mixing and mastering credits, which is currently being premiered, alongside performances, in both the US and Europe.

Diversifying his talents beyond his released work, Hugo Paris continues to compose music for film and licensing for Marmoset. He is actively engaged in empowering others as the captain of the official Patreon Experimental Musicians A-Club which he founded. His genuine thirst for sharing is highlighted through the audio creation and synthesis workshops he gives (Pacific Northwest College of Art, Mutek, Sync02), as well as, participating in the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) artists mentorship program. As owner of the mixing/production studio Tiny Crush Mixing, Hugo Paris leverages his breadth of experience to help bring the vision of others to life.
